ECG of November

Resting electrocardiogram of a 67 year-old woman evaluated for heart murmur.

Rate 71/min
PR 0.14 sec
QRS 0.07 sec
QT 0.38 sec
QTc 0.41 sec
QRS axis - 50º

Interpretation: V2 V3 probably misplaced. Abnormal. Poor R wave progression across the anterior precordial leads. QS complexes in inferior and lateral precordial leads. Possible old anterior, inferior and lateral infarction (apical).

No clinical equivalent of infarction. No regional wall motion abnormalities on an echocardiogram. An example of falsely positive ECG.
